Tepidarium

The warm room where bathers would rest before entering the following, seriously hot rooms. Originally it was entered directly from the frigidarium, but at some point in the long time when the bath was used, a small vestibule was added that opened at the apodyterium, probably to conserve heat more economically. It was covered with a skilfully constructed shallow dome of red bricks.
